We’re putting this page here, even though the new Children’s Museum of Los Angeles is not yet open to the public – but hopefully it soon will be! There have been some financial troubles surrounding the place, but we hope those will be sorted out soon.
Construction is complete at the Hansen Dam Recreation Area, and they are ready to begin the fabrication of their exciting exhibits, conceived by world-renowned designer Edwin Schlossberg.
The Museum’s ecosystem is based round the interdependent elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, recognized from ancient times.
In the center of the ecosystem are Tree, Dogbear, and Puppycub, each representing a living aspect of the ecosystem that needs to be cared for by the children in order to survive.
Children learn by playing with the system, which evolves in response to their efforts.
