Matt DamonMatt Damon’s career got started from the screenplay he co-wrote with friend Ben Affleck for the film Good Will Hunting in 1997.

For their efforts, the pair won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and the Golden Globe Award for Best Screenplay. Damon’s lead performance received multiple Best Actor nominations, including the Academy Award.

He has since starred in other successful films such as Saving Private Ryan in 1998, the Ocean’s Trilogy, and the Bourne series, and also performed in dramas such as Syriana in 2005, The Good Shepherd and The Departed in 2006.

He received a Golden Globe nomination for his role in The Talented Mr. Ripley in 1999, and was also nominated in 2009 for an Academy Award as supporting actor in Invictus.

In 2007, Matt Damon received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine.

Damon has a daughter with his hife Luciana Bozán Barroso, and also a stepdaughter from Barroso’s previous marriage.

Damon has found active more recently in charitable work, including the ONE Campaign, H2O Africa Foundation, and Water.org.
