Willow Springs Raceway, located in Willow Springs near Rosamond and Lancaster, California, is about an hour north of Los Angeles.
Opened in 1953, it has been around more than fifty years. The main track, unchanged from it’s 1953 configuration, is a challenging 2.5-mile (4.0 km) long road course. It is a favorite of many road racing drivers.
Willow Springs Raceway also features other racing facilities. For example, The 1.8 mile Streets of Willow, The Horsethief Mile road course, the Willow Springs 1/4 mile paved Oval Speedway, Willow Springs Kart Track – a .625-mile, 9-turn paved Sprint Track, The 1/4-mile paved training track Playpen, and the Walt James Stadium featuring a Clay Oval and Paved Oval
The State of California declared Willow Springs Raceway as a California Point of Historical Interest in 1996.
