Designed by George C. Thomas, Jr., the Bel-Air Country Club golf course opened in 1925.
The 18 hole course features 6,482 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. The course rating is 72.0, and it has a slope rating of 133 on Bermuda grass. It is known as a challenging course and the scenery is quite spectacular.
From the Championship Tees (6720 yds, 73.8/137), it is reputed to be the toughest course in L.A. The back nine is a challenge, and every hole is memorable.
Bel-Air Country Club also enforces a strict dress code and no cell phone policy.
