The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is the largest art museum in the Western United States.
The museum has around 100,000 objects dating from ancient times to the present. It is a museum of international stature as well as a major part of Southern California.
LACMA has vast collections of exhibitions, runs public programs, and has research facilities that attract almost a million visitors annually.
The seven-building complex is located halfway between the ocean and downtown on twenty acres in the heart of Los Angeles.
