Venice in California, was originally supposed to be a copy of Venice, Italy, complete with canals. However, few of the original Venice Canals remain today.
The remaining canals wind through quaint and very expensive homes. The canals feature arched bridges and perhaps the occasional gondolier that contribute to the serenity of the canals.
It’s a great place to cruise on a bike. Start between Washington Avenue and Venice Boulevard.
The fully restored and remodeled homes make it a postcard scene along the canal shores.
