Apollo Park Lake comprises three man-made lakes named after astronauts Aldrin, Armstrong and Collins, and spans 26 acres. Nestling in the middle of an airfield in the middle of the desert, it’s a real oasis.
The lake gets stocked in the winter every couple of weeks on Thursday starting in November for trout. Apollo also hosts fishing derbies each November.
