Lake Isabella consists of 11,200 acres at an elevation of 2,650 feet. Camping is available at several locations around the lake. There are lots of stores in the nearby town of Lake Isabella.
There are lots of Trout, Bass, Catfish, and Crappie found here. The lake is considered one of the better crappie lakes in the state. There are fish cleaning facilities at many of the campgrounds. Night fishing is allowed and catfish fishing is popular during the summer.
There are several boat launches that are free. However you must get a boat safety permit at the park office. Minimum boat length – 11 feet.
The lake has several marinas with rental fishing boats, pontoons and jet-skis. Sometimes in the afternoon high winds can kick up, so boaters should beware.
